Want to spend a day in our old port town? We’ve compiled our must do list to help you make the most of your visit to Fremantle

Start your day with a downward dog at one of the local Yoga studios or head to South Beach for a morning swim.

After breakfast, grab a takeaway coffee at our rustic larder Ootong To Go and take a quick snap of the infamous colourful zebras by local artist Anya Brock on our wall, before strolling down South Terrace and Wray Avenue to discover the eclectic collection of stores. Sink your teeth into a decadent hot dog at Run Amuk, delve into a healthy salad at Lenny the Ox, order fish and chips at The Norfolk Hotel, or pick up a gourmet takeaway from our larder Ootong To Go, and head to Fremantle’s scenic Bathers Beach for a seaside picnic.

After lunch, spend the afternoon being inspired by artworks at the much-loved Fremantle Arts Centre. Housed within a heritage building and beautiful grounds, their ever-evolving contemporary art exhibitions are free to the public. On the weekends, stroll through the iconic Fremantle Markets and soak up the vibrant atmosphere or spend the afternoon swapping anecdotes with a farmer while stocking up on organic fruit and veggies.
